Crew Privacy Policy
Updated 14 October 2026
Crew is a workplace management service operated by NewKipp Software Solution. This policy covers Crew's website and mobile app. Your employer controls its company workspace and decides which workplace features to enable. Access to information depends on the user's company and assigned role.
Information we collect
- Account and employment information: names, work email addresses, account identifiers, phone numbers, job titles, departments, employment details, emergency contacts and optional profile photos.
- Workplace records: attendance, leave requests, tasks, comments and messages, performance records, documents and files that users or authorized company administrators submit. A sick-leave reason or supporting document may contain health information supplied by the user; Crew does not provide medical advice or a health-monitoring service.
- Payroll and expense records: salary, payslip, bank-account and tax/pension details entered for workplace administration, expenses, receipts, reimbursements, company subscription records and company-recorded internal contributions. Internal contribution records in the Android app are read-only. Employee wallet, bill-payment, loan-application/disbursement and contribution-withdrawal features are not available in this Android release.
- Attendance location and photos: when you request an attendance action and grant permission, Crew may collect precise location, location accuracy and an attendance photo, according to your employer's settings. Authorized workplace administrators can review the attendance evidence. The current Crew Android app requests location for foreground attendance actions; it does not continuously track your route or collect background location. Camera access is requested for a photo you choose to take, not for covert recording.
- Device and service activity: device/browser information, attendance-device identifiers, sign-in and security logs, IP-related information, timestamps and records of actions in the service. Public-page usage measurement uses pseudonymous visitor identifiers to understand use of the service. We do not use this information for advertising.
How information is used
We use information to provide and secure Crew, authenticate users, manage company access, deliver workplace features and approvals, maintain records and audit trails, answer support requests, prevent misuse and understand service usage. Attendance location and photos support attendance verification; they are not used for advertising.
Who can access information
Your employer's authorized administrators and other permitted users can access records within their role and company workspace. Information that you submit for an approval, a workplace message or a shared document is made available to the intended workplace recipients. Trusted hosting, file-storage, communication and support providers may process information on our behalf as needed to operate Crew. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertising networks.
Security
Crew uses encrypted connections for data in transit, password protection, role-based access controls, audit logs and operational safeguards. No service can guarantee absolute security. Do not share your password or submit unnecessary sensitive information in messages or documents.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet applicable workplace, legal, audit or dispute-resolution requirements. Users can request deletion of an account and its associated personal data, or request deletion of selected information without closing an account, at Crew account and data deletion.
Email crew@newkipp.com from your registered address and identify your company and request. After verifying your identity, we process verified requests within 30 days. Unnecessary personal data is deleted; specific records may need to be retained for lawful employer recordkeeping or other legal obligations. Where retention is necessary, we explain which records are retained, why and the applicable retention period, and restrict access. Opening an email link does not itself submit a deletion request; send the email to start the process.
Your choices
You can ask your employer or contact us to access or correct your information. You can decline camera or location permission and change permissions in your device settings. Features requiring that evidence may then be unavailable, but other permitted workplace features remain accessible. You do not need your employer's permission to submit an account or data-deletion request to us.
Age and advertising
Crew is intended for adult workplace users aged 18 and over. The app contains no advertising and is not a government service.
Contact and updates
For privacy questions, contact crew@newkipp.com. We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change; the date above identifies the latest revision.
